How to get to Tecnológico de Monterrey

Once you arrive at Monterrey International Airport, you can use Authorized taxi or van services to get to your hotel or the Tecnológico de Monterrey campus:

  • Authorized taxi or van services: are available for transportation to the city and surrounding areas. Rates are based on a zone system, the type of vehicle, and number of passengers. Passengers can buy tickets at the taxi kiosk.​

  • Taxi fares at Monterrey Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY) depend on the destination zone and the type of vehicle. Rates vary slightly depending on the company used, below are some average rates:
    Zone 1: $795.00 for an executive car and $1,500.00 for a van
    Zone 2: $865.00 for an executive car and $1,600.00 for a van
    Zone 3: $935.00 for an executive car and $1,700.00 for a van
    Zone 4: $1,000.00 for an executive car and $1,800.00 for a van​

  • The Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus is located in Zone 4.​​

  • It is important to have the name and address of the accommodation on hand to be able to select the correct zone because the purchase of the service is made through kiosks around the different terminals, that accept cash and the main credit and debit cards. Generally, there is airport personnel helping passengers in case they have doubts about the correct zone.​​

  • Rideshare services such as Uber are NOT allowed to pick up passengers at the airport facilities, only to drop them off.​
